Moving forward, we cross the military range and hear about its takeover for wartime purposes, gaining insight into its role in supporting the war effort. ABOUT THIS MID WALES TOUR

Another highlight of this tour is the stop at the UKs oldest Yew Tree in Defynnog, before a short trip to the International Rarebit Centre for a bite to eat. We then move on to Talgarth and visit the recently restored Mill to grind some flour and have lunch. You can even buy some freshly made bread as a souvenir! 

From Talgarth we head for Hay, the town of the books and over Hay Bluff and with the Black Mountains on either side we head for Llantony Priory a truly magnificent ancient ruin, carrying on down the valley we come to Cwmyoy, no need to go Italy to see a leaning tower we have our very own. Cwmyoy Church was built on ancient landslide which slide just after the last ice age even after thousands of years to compact it wasn’t quite long enough, one more Church Partrishow got to be seen.From Partrishow over to Crickhowell Tretower Castle and home.
